Removal of White Spots on Teeth and Composite Veneers

Leonora contacted us because of spacing issues and white spots on her teeth. She wasn’t sure how her problem could be resolved, so she reached out to us for help.
Her teeth were naturally straight, and orthodontic treatment was not necessary; it was only needed to fill the spaces between the teeth.

We started with a minimally invasive approach, using methods that are as conservative and tooth-preserving as possible. We avoided drilling because Leonora is a young patient, and we want her teeth to remain intact for as long as possible.
Therefore, we decided to whiten the teeth, remove the white spots using ICON technology, and place composite veneers.

Treatment Process

The treatment began in our photo studio, where we photographed Leonora and created a digital smile design to plan her new smile.

Once the smile design was finalized, we took precise dental impressions and sent them to our dental laboratory, where wax-up veneers were created to accurately preview the final aesthetic result.

Using the model, we created a silicone index and transferred the future teeth into the mouth with a special material. This allowed Leonora to preview the final outcome of the treatment before the definitive work began.

We first needed to remove the white spots using ICON technology, as these lesions cannot be masked with composite veneers. ICON treatment involves a series of specialized agents that seal the enamel pores in the affected areas, restoring the natural tooth color without any drilling or tooth preparation.

Once the white spots were eliminated, we used an injection molding technique to create six composite veneers in the upper jaw. All veneers were completed in a single visit.
